Typing - you can do traditional across the page, or create text boxes.I also personally prefer the organization in notability. The audio is pretty clear too, which is nice. You can also watch the notes fill in as you wrote them in real time while the audio plays. So, I like to highlight areas in my notes to go over after lecture (if I missed something, didn’t hear something in time, etc.). You can also record audio in the background while taking notes, and the notes are time stamped according to the audio. It has shape recognition (again, engineering student, we draw a lot). You can search hand written notes like you would a PDF.As an engineering student, the convert to math function alone makes it worth it.I see Mendeley/Zotero and Papership App might do the job for another $15 - but not sure about the OCR for handwriting. Was never a fan of MS but they have gotten a lot better with O365.īoth are skittery writing and I bought the pencil screen film $18! and it is OK-ish no miracle. I don't want my drawings or image out of line with my text. Evernotes highlighter is also complete crap. If Apple Notes or Preview had a highlight that wasn't so f-ing bright I would still be using it. You can't edit them easily but you can move them. Pro - I love that I can drag and drop files from my Mac to the app but the editing via Mac isn't great yet. Pro - Also the searchable OCR handwriting is fantastic for later essays use. Pro - I bought it because I love that you can add pages in between PDF article pages to keep your ideas and notes on that article in one file. I want to keep my notes and annotated PDFs in one app, please! Why can't anyone do both? The Roxie Paperless X Youtuber has lots of good vidsĬon - Yes! This is very annoying! The single-page copy paste a long bit of text for future use is super annoying because the + sign obviously shows there is more but there is no way to get to the end or continue to the next page/sheet whatever. This is not the correct place to be fundraising.Tried Notability and want to love it but no add pages to a file. Do not ask for upvotes, money, donations, or any form of payment.
